STOP Trying to Find Your DREAM Remote Job to Travel—Do This Instead…

Hey friend,

Ever dreamed of working from a beach in Thailand or a café in Mexico?

If you’re here, I’m guessing the answer is… Uh, yeah, DUH!

Well, guess what? I had never dreamt of that before, but it ended up becoming my life anyway.

When I started this lifestyle, those dreams didn’t exist – because remote work DIDN’T EXIST YET

Cue me feeling like an ancient freaking relic…

Finding remote work is a hell of a lot easier now to say the least.

My Remote Work Journey

Teaching English online with no degree

I’ve been a digital nomad for over a decade, long before it became the buzzword it is today.

I’ve worked 11 travel jobs, most of them remote. From being a virtual assistant to an online English teacher, data entry clerk, freelance writer, and now a blogger/creator, I’ve done it all.

Tips for Finding Remote Work

Finding remote work isn’t as hard as you might think. Here are some tips to help you get started:

  • Build Your Skills: Identify the skills you have and how they can be applied to remote jobs.
  • Update Your Resume: Tailor your resume to highlight your skills and experience relevant to remote work. If applicable, do a few things for “free” so people can actually SEE your work.
  • Use Job Boards: Websites like Remote.co, We Work Remotely, and FlexJobs list remote job opportunities and help filter through the scams.
  • Network: Connect with people in your industry on LinkedIn or other professional networks. I got my virtual assistant job through my network!
  • Start Small: Consider freelancing or part-time remote work to build your experience. I did a ton of this!
  • Services: This is what I would work towards – being able to offer your own services (you work for yourself and make your own schedule.) If you already have the skills to jump to this step – DO IT!

MY BIGGEST TIP:

STOP trying to find your freaking unicorn travel job.

You’re spinning your wheels.

Find a good enough remote job and work up towards your dream travel job.

In fact, you should be looking for numerous “whatever” part-time remote jobs if you’re just starting out but that’s a whole other thing I talk about in my book…

Stop second-guessing and running around in circles trying to figure out how you can live and work around the world!

I wrote this ebook just for you because I’ve been in your shoes. With my decade+ of experience, you’ll become an overnight pro. You’ll get a clear path on how you can get work and sustain a life abroad.
