Well, same, but let’s be a little more realistic. The digital nomad lifestyle is amazing, but it doesn’t come without its fair share of work.

If you want to make money by working remotely as you travel the world, then you’ve come to the right place—this is literally what I do (and have been for over a decade now)!

I’ve put together a tried and true list of digital nomad jobs you can do with little to no experience. You can thank me later!

1. Virtual Assistant

You can get a job online with no experience as a virtual assistant.
As a virtual assistant, you can work from anywhere in the world. This was my van set up in New Zealand!

A virtual assistant is perfect for beginners, as it requires no degree or certification—just organization skills and attention to detail. Your tasks might include scheduling appointments, online research, and managing emails.

Teaching English online is one of the easiest digital nomad jobs for beginners, especially if you’re a native speaker. Most schools require a TEFL certificate, but even without experience, there are opportunities to teach foreign students.

4. Writer/Copywriter

Writing is an easy “in” for beginner digital nomads if you have a knack for it!

Writing or copywriting is a great way to earn money remotely if you have a knack for words. You can find freelance jobs with blogs or businesses and start small, building up your portfolio over time. Once you have some experience, you can command higher rates and take on bigger projects. It’s also how I stumbled into blogging for myself!

If writing isn’t your thing, try editing or proofreading for bloggers and businesses. Many non-native English speakers or companies need help polishing their content. This job requires a keen eye for detail and strong grammar skills. It’s a good entry-level role for digital nomads.
